Growth was created over a long period of steady growth. I first took photos of this painting-in-progress in the fall of 2023, its rich and vibrant under-layers clearly captivating me. This painting sat in my studio for over a year before I finally finished it in February 2025 during what felt like one of the hardest, bravest times of my life.

It marks the beginning and end of long season of unknowns—and it captures the beauty that comes from embracing challenge and letting life lead where it must.
